August 11, 2011, Oak Grove, VA – The Southern Nursery Association (SNA) announced today that the 2011 SNA Research Conference Proceedings has been completed and is available to view or download on the SNA website at www.sna.org. This 432-page document contains the latest in horticultural research.
Eighty-four titles are included by authors from 15 states (AL, AR, FL, GA, IN, KY, KS, LA, MS, NC, OR, SC, TN, TX and VA) and Brazil and Mexico. Twelve research categories include: Weed Control, Plant Breeding & Evaluation, Growth Regulators, Floriculture, Entomology, Economics & Marketing, Water Management, Pathology & Nematology, Container Grown Plant Production, Landscape, Plant Propagation, Engineering, Structures & Innovation.
The SNA Research Conference, hosted by the SNA, is held annually. This unique two-day forum has become world-renown for quality research and is the only conference of its kind in the world! Top researchers and educational leaders from leading universities present their latest discoveries in horticulture. Presentations are approximately seven minutes each and are concise and easy to understand. The conference format allows industry members to attend all presentations or only those topics of interest.
The 2012 SNA Research Conference, scheduled for January 18 - 19, will be held in conjunction with the Gulf States Hort Expo (GSHE) at the Arthur A. Outlaw Convention Center in Mobile, AL. Complete details will be announced in the weeks ahead.
