August 25, 2011, Oak Grove, VA – The Southern Nursery Association (SNA) announced today that the SNA Disaster Preparedness Program is once again featured on the SNA website at www.sna.org.
This program encourages industry member firms to better prepare for times of emergencies and includes education materials or events, electronic communication systems, as well as a list of equipment (coming soon) available from other industry members such as power generators, satellite phones, labor, supplies, and other products and services needed during these times. In addition, national and regional disaster resources are listed as a convenience to the industry.
The SNA Disaster Preparedness Program Forum also provides a line of communication to post general comments or information relating to current conditions, needs and available assistance. We are very fortunate to be involved in a very industry - an industry that reaches out to even their competitors. This Forum helps facilitate that spirit.
The Southern Nursery Association (SNA) is a non-profit, professional trade association serving the horticulture industry since 1899. As a regional organization, SNA works to advance the horticulture industry in the southeast by supporting educational, research and marketing opportunities to assure the success of the industry.
